A trader arrives at a Chickasaw village carrying knives, whiskey, cloth, and several young bamboo shoots.

What follows survives generations.

As the bamboo spreads through the swamp and blackbirds gather overhead, something pale begins moving within the thicket. Something watching from between the stems.

Years later, deep in the Mississippi Delta, four friends arrive at an isolated hunting property surrounded by hardwood forest and dense bamboo. By the time they understand what lives there, the road out may already be closed.

Whiteface is a Southern folk horror story about possession, loneliness, inherited violence, and the things that survive when people do not.
